Coach Eddie Howe has criticized Alexander Isak's “less professional” attitude after the Swedish striker wants to leave the club to join Liverpool. Currently, the Choi is contacting PSG's Goncalo Ramos to replace Isak.
Isak was originally announced by Newcastle due to a slight injury in the thigh. But after that, many sources revealed that he was actually promoting leaving St James' Park. Isak even practiced at the old Real Sociedad for his old club earlier this week, before returning to Tyneside over the weekend. This happened in the context of Liverpool offered £ 110 million to buy England but was rejected by Newcastle.
Since being sent from Glasgow on July 19, Isak has not participated in any activities with the team. After the 1-1 draw with Tottenham in Korea, coach Eddie Howe frankly shared: “You must deserve to practice with us”.
“We are Newcastle United. The responsible player is part of the collective, having to behave properly. No one can behave badly and think we still practice as usual. We will make sure every player must follow that.”
Liverpool is expected to return to the second proposal if Newcastle finds the replacement of Isak. Currently, Choi Chu is competing fiercely with Man United in the race to recruit Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig. Without Sesko, Newcastle could turn to PSG's Goncalo Ramos, who was in their sights in 2022.
