MU is moving very close to recruiting a young striker with a fee of over £ 70 million, the second time within two years. Yes, that is Benjamin Sesko – the star of RB Leipzig.
In the summer of 2023, Rasmus Hojlund used to go to Old Trafford without experience in the Premier League, and his time here so far has not happened as expected. Now, nothing guarantees Sesko will succeed in the land of fog.
This is obviously something everyone can easily recognize. MU is “betting” on Sesko after Aston Villa reaffirms Ollie Watkins not to sell this summer. Newcastle has launched a more financial offering package, but the player's choice will be decisive. It is expected that MU and Leipzig will close the price slightly higher than the initial proposal.
The loyal fans who have been with MU for many years may ask why paying a huge amount of money to a young striker has now become a “normal” thing. But in fact, the modern transfer market has been exaggerated.
MU is basically paid in accordance with the “common ground” for one of the most promising young strikers in Europe. But the Old Trafford team is investing in potential, and Hojlund is a clear testament to the risks from such deals.
