On Wednesday night, Vicario will return to the city where he grew up as the Europa League champion. The yard of Udinese will be the venue for the European Super Cup match between Spurs and PSG. After a 0-4 defeat to Bayern Munich in the last friendly match before the last week, Tottenham will have the opportunity to win the title in the first official match under coach Thomas Frank.
“Udine is a small city, so it is only an important match like this, another European Final, a dream,” Vicario shared on Tottenham's summer trip in East Asia. “It is a great achievement for the club. What we do in Bilbao (defeating Manchester United in the Europa League final) has helped us have the right to confront PSG. It will be great. A lot of relatives, friends and my family will watch.
