Defender Luke Shaw praised coach Ruben Amorim and hoped that MU won the Premier League this season.
MU's new season 2025/26 will officially start with the great battle against Arsenal at Old Trafford on August 17. For Amorim personally, he will have a complete start at the club. Earlier, Amorim led MU in the second half of the season. This will be the time when MU wants to show well, after a decade of failure as expected.
In the 2024/25 season, the club ranked 15th in the rankings. This is the worst position of the Red Devil's Premier League history. Not to mention, this team failed bitterly against Tottenham in the Europa League final. That defeat caused Man United to close the empty -handed season, and at the same time faced the fact that they would have a second time in 35 years without attending the European Cup.
But now, everything seems to change at MU. Although it will only attend domestic tournaments in the 2025/26 season, the team still has serious, urgent and determined preparation. In the exciting atmosphere in the headquarters in Chicago, Luke Shaw affirmed that the whole team's spirit is being enhanced thanks to Amorim's drastic way of working.
Shaw emphasized: “I think he is the right person to bring the club forward, no doubt. He is extremely strict and drastic to the whole team, without missing any details. Now no one is an outsider.
The British player added that the Portuguese coach chose personnel based on the best service criteria for the team and the entire player to support the philosophy as well as the plan he built. Shaw said: “We are now a real collective, especially in the pre -season period this season. Since I came back, I saw the whole group united. That's what we need to be a true family, together on a common goal.”
Although Shaw and the team themselves have experienced disappointing moments last season, this left -back believes that Man United can completely set the goal of winning the Premier League. He admitted: “I personally had a disappointing season. I really touched the bottom of the previous season, so I thought everything could only be better now. Last year I had no seasonal period and that was greatly influenced.
Many people will be skeptical when hearing me say this after what happened, but we are not allowed to think otherwise. I am sure the members of MU if asked, all have the same goals as me. Even the coach, although he may not speak out at the press conferences, but we all believe and desire are the same. MU is a family and we will fight together for that goal, “Shaw closed.
