On the club homepage, MU announced the new shirt of the young talented duo, striker Chido Obi-Martin and center-back Tyler Fredricson since the season 2025/26.
This is considered a move to recognize the outstanding progress of Chido Obi-Martin and Tyler Fredricson in the MU team since the previous season.
Accordingly, striker Chido Obi -Martin will move from shirt number 56 to wearing 32. This shirt has belonged to former striker Carlos Tevez and goalkeeper Sam Johnstone – another product of the Academy.
Meanwhile, midfielder Tyler Fredricson will receive the number 33 shirt, instead of the old 55. This is the number of shirts that former Brandon Williams defender once owned during the time of playing at MU.
This change will take effect immediately, and fans will see the duo played with a new number of shirts right in the friendly match against Leeds United in Stockholm (Sweden) on July 19.
Both Chido Obi-Martin and Tyler Fredricson have had a breakthrough season. The Danish striker, Chido Obi-Martin, was launched in the first team against Tottenham in February.
He continued to make a strong impression when scoring two goals in MU's trip as soon as the 2024/25 season lowered and shone at the Maurice Revelo for U20 Denmark.
Similarly, Tyler Fredricson also made his debut at the Wolverhampton Wanderers. After solid steps, both young players will make efforts to score points to find an official position in the MU squad next season.
