MU is still waiting for a breakthrough in the Bryan Mbeumo deal, while the transfer market is gradually passing without them.
And so the waiting continued.
MU wants to recruit Bryan Mbeumo, and Brentford striker also wants to move to Old Trafford. But after two offers “bees” rejected, the patient game has not yet come to an end.
MU still believes that this deal will be completed, but they also want to ensure that the third proposal, if sent, will succeed.
The Cameroon player is the number one target of the Red Devils, and when combined with Maheus Cunha, the duo is expected to create a powerful attack behind the striker in the 3-4-2-1 diagram of Ruben Amorim.
The problem is: Who will kick above them is still a big question mark. And clearly, the deadlock around Mbeumo is affecting the plan to recruit MU strikers.
Besides, MU is trying to sell the player to balance the budget also makes all the next – besides Mbeumo – delay. Marcus Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho and Tyrell Malacia have all made the desire to leave, and MU also wanted to earn a significant amount of money from these farewells.
But until the two conditions occur – Mbeumo docked and the stars left – the Red Devils' transfer was almost “freezing”.
The biggest goal of MU this summer is to solve the public product problem that made them difficult during the 2024/25 season. Two names Cunha and Mbeumo, who have scored a total of 37 goals last season, will be the right steps, the Red Devils still need a true striker when Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee only records a total of … 7 goals in the Premier League.
The problem is: While MU put money on Mbeumo and waiting for sellers to have budget for the next deals, the transfer market – especially the striker position – is “running” faster than them.
MU was ready to spend £ 30 million to recruit Liam Delap, but Chelsea quickly activated the Liberation Clause and won the race. Arsenal is approaching the blockbuster Viktor Gyokeres – the leading goalscorer in Europe last season under the guidance of Amorim himself at Sporting.
And everything becomes more complicated with the recent news: Victor Osimhen – another goal of MU – is likely to switch to Galatasaray after the explosive season in loan in Istanbul.
Osimhen is no longer part of Napoli's plan, but has scored 37 goals in all competitions, contributing greatly to Galatasaray to win a domestic double.
Galatasaray is currently preparing to activate the provision of 75 million euros, and have begun to negotiate with Napoli about the installment plan. This means that the two most popular names ever contacted MU are now on their way to other teams.
Other names such as Hugo Ekitike, Ollie Watkins or Moise Kean were also contacted with Old Trafford, but the current worry is: The longer waiting for, the choice for a quality center will become more scarce.
